Formal requirements
WWCC
Seeing this position is directly involved in working with children. Obtaining a WWCC is essential.
Once more this process is very straight forward, and is carried out by a screening process via Service Victoria.
An ABN
Having an ABN is essential to be a tutor through HJR Tuition.
Not to worry, the process is very simple and does not require much time!
Travel
At HJR Tuition, tutors will only be required to do at-home sessions if a parent chooses so. Tutors must be willing to travel a maximum of half an hour.
What Do We Look For?
Strong Interpersonal Skills
We require someone who is able to communicate and adapt to a students personality with ease.
Academic Performance
We search for those who have proven a strong performance in their selected subjects.
Range of Subjects
We look for individuals who are able to provide their services for at least 2 subjects at a VCE level, and more for younger students.
Relevant Background
A University degree is not 100% necessary but highly preferable. All tutors will need to demonstrate a high degree of relevant real work experience or some form of academic accreditation to ensure they are selected.
