For the majority of subjects we offer, it is required for tutors to be, at a minimum, in the TOP 10% of their cohort.

Does My Child Need A Tutor? Certainly! Tutoring isn't just for those struggling academically. It is also extremely helpful to sharpen a child's strengths and keep them on top of the competition.
Does HJR Tuition Offer At-Home Services? It is possible! At-Home sessions can only be arranged in certain circumstances given the tutors location and if parents choose the custom service option. This means sessions have to be longer than 2 hours in order for a tutor to do an at-home service.
What Do Students Usually Ask Of From Tutors? Predominately, students will prepare homework or assignments for tutors to go over with them and provide feedback and critical techniques to improve their work.
Can a Parent Participate in Sessions? Yes! Parents are absolutely welcome to join in. However, this is not necessary as tutors will provide a session summary available after the session.
Is Tutoring Necessary For Primary Aged Students? Yes! At these stages of schooling, understanding the basics is critical. Getting ahead as early as possible is the best possible for your child's education.
What Can't Tutors Do For Students? Tutors are not allowed to do work for students. They can provide effective insight and assistance but they cannot do any of their assignments for students.
What Are The Terms And Conditions? The main terms and conditions for parents include: 1. If a session is cancelled 5 or more times on a regular basis, the service will be cancelled. 2. Billing will be sent after each session. A customer has 2 days to complete payment. 3. If the customer fails to pay after one week, then services will be cancelled.
How Can I Tell If This Is Beneficial For My Child? After each session, your child should be able to clearly outline to you what they learnt each session. Importantly, this is relative to the amount of time each session lasts.
How Does Billing Work? After receiving your service, a bill will be directly sent to the customer via email to keep things simple. Payment can be completed simply by credit/debit card.
What Is The Best Amount Of Time To Receive? The best value at HJR is the 2 hour service. However, it is highly recommended that students receive at least 1 and a half hours per session. 1 hour can go by really fast!
What Is The Most Common Age Of A Student? Most students that receive tutoring are in Years 11 and 12, although it is common for younger students to receive tutoring.
